The Insights
Timing: 3-5 days before the sale begins.
Content:
Create anticipation with a teaser about the upcoming sale.
Highlight what customers can expect (e.g., "Up to 50% off sitewide," "Exclusive deals on top products").
Include a strong call-to-action (CTA) like “Mark your calendar” or “Stay tuned for more details.”
Use engaging visuals and a countdown timer to build excitement.
2. Actual Sale (Email 2)
Timing: On the day the sale starts.
Content:
Announce that the sale is live.
Clearly state the discounts and any special offers.
Feature top products or categories on sale.
Include multiple CTAs like “Shop Now,” “Get the Deal,” or “Start Saving.”
Add urgency by mentioning the limited-time nature of the sale.
3. SMS Reminder
Timing: 4-6 hours after the sale begins, targeting those who opened the sale email but didn’t purchase.
Message:
Short and direct, reminding them about the ongoing sale.
Example: “Don’t miss out! Our Labor Day Sale is live. Save up to 50% – shop now [link].”
Include a link to the sale page.
4. Plain Text Reminder with Urgency (Email 3)
Timing: 24-48 hours before the sale ends.
Content:
A plain-text email to stand out in the inbox, creating a more personal feel.
Emphasize urgency, reminding customers that the sale is ending soon.
Example: “Hi [Name], just a quick reminder that our Labor Day Sale ends tomorrow at midnight. This is your last chance to save up to 50% on our best-sellers. Don’t miss out – shop now!”
Include a direct CTA, like “Grab Your Savings Before It’s Too Late.”
